We were lucky enough to get tickets to the MTV EMAs a couple of weeks back at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. So much fun, amazing atmosphere and a once in a life time experience...

The City of Alkmaar

I always love to explore new cities in The Netherlands, and this time we took a trip to Alkmaar. It is such a pretty place, a mixture or traditional Dutch architecture and surroundings yet with a modern lifestyle of those who live and visit there.

We spent the day walking around, looking in all of the small shops and boutiques, picking things up for Chirstmas (I know, already!) And then onto the main streets overlooked by the historic buildings, stopping for lunch at a mini bistro called de buren (The neigbours in dutch) located in the centre over one of the canals, a perfect place to watch the minature world of Alkmaar go by...
